Drinks Association - Price Intel

We partner with Nielsen to bring you a daily collation of all liquor industry promoted price points across over 300 national, regional, metro and suburban press, catalogues and some websites.

Price Intel, is an embedded web platform, providing holistic analytical capabilities across the historic database. The tool provides detailed ad count and price point data, with the ability to view, analyse & benchmark the landscape across a wide array of dimensions and segments, including Category, Supplier, Brand, Warehouse and Banner level. Deeper filters, including Region, Pack Size, Multipliers, Promotion Types, Price Range, Publications and Media Channels, can be applied to further pinpoint key market trends. The solution currently scrapes 187 retailers including EDG, Coles Liquor and Independent Retail banners.

Need a pricing analysis across a certain time period? Everything you need is available to run your own reports from the database which contains detailed information regarding your products and that of your competitors.

It offers the capability for data access to be live connected to internal systems (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to allow further interrogation of the market data.

There is no limit to the number of users for Drinks Association members or subscribers.

Full training is included in the service. Nielsen conducts group online training on the first Wednesday of each month at 3-4pm.

Utilising the extensive data captured, the Price Intel Express Service delivers updates directly to your inbox twice each morning at 8:30 and 9:00 am.

At 8:30 am, you’ll receive a morning snapshot featuring promoted price points in key newspapers for your selected categories, presented in an easy-to-read format with direct links to the advertising creative.

Following this, a comprehensive national publication list, ranked by number of lines and circulation, is sent at 9:00 am.

Available for purchase by category, this service allows unlimited access for recipients within your business.

PRICE INTEL PREMIUM

A comprehensive monthly report, fully populated with data from the Price Intel database, including pricing, circulation, and SOV ad counts, formatted in pivot tables for easy analysis.
