Workgroups & forums switch to virtual meetings

The Drinks Association’s workgroups and forums are currently being held via video conference and webinar formats, to ensure information continues to flow during COVID-19.

Advantage Workgroup discusses 2020 program

The Advantage Workgroup met on Wednesday, March 18, via video conference to discuss the 2020 program and timings, as well as reporting deliverables and the innovation agenda.

Recognising the current environment we are operating in, Advantage is currently working on impacts to the program on a global scale and will advise of impacts once known.

Knowing that collaboration and engagement are more critical in times of crisis, one adjustment to content will be the collection of feedback on business’s “collaboration during a crisis situation”.

These responses will provide the opportunity to isolate and provide direct feedback on the management of our current environment, as well as understand to what degree this impacts business-as-usual feedback, if any.

Additionally, there will be the opportunity to gather learnings on how the industry managed through the crisis situation.

Important credit forum update

The next forum in the Drinks Association calendar is the Credit Manager Forum, which will meet via webinar on April 8, from 2pm-4pm.

With on-premise venues recently forced to close due to government restrictions and numerous liquor licence movements nationally, we would highly recommend Credit Managers attend the upcoming webinar.

Outside of the scheduled Forums, Credit Managers can also stay informed by utilising the Drinks Association Liquor Licence and Retail Banner Database.

Updated daily, the database is a one-stop source for everything you need to know about liquor licence holders and retail banner membership nationwide, including licence names and numbers, addresses, change of ownership, new, transferred, surrendered and suspended licences plus banner membership details. The Drinks Association also publishes a Weekly Licence Movement report every Friday.
