The Drinks Association’s annual celebration of industry excellence, the 2020 Australian Drinks Awards, will be celebrated virtually this Thursday for the first time in its eight-year history.
The live streamed ceremony is shaping up to be the drinks industry event of the year – hosted by TV personality Shelly Horton, it will take place on Thursday, July 30, at 4.30pm.
From Tom Cruise to the Dalai Lama, Horton (below) has interviewed some of the world’s most fascinating people. Her opinion can be heard nationally each week with regular segments on Channel 9’s TODAY, TODAY EXTRA, 3pm News and Weekend TODAY and 20-1. She is also a lifestyle presenter for 9Honey, the host of 9Honey’s Talking Honey, He Said/ She Said and hosts the Married At First Sight spin off show Talking Married.
The 2020 Australian Drinks Awards will also pivot this year to focus on the Supplier Category with the traditional three trophies being awarded: Supplier of the Year, Most Improved Supplier of the Year, Supply Chain Management and the introduction of a new Category Management Award.
These awards are determined using data results from the industry-wide engagement survey conducted by Advantage Australia.
As last year's Supplier of the Year Lion (celebrating above) noted: "The Advantage Survey is an extremely useful survey – and we do pay attention to the results and really appreciate the feedback we get from it. It streamlines customer feedback in an accessible way, therefore making it easy for us to assess and action."
Please join us to watch the 2020 Australian Drinks Awards from 4.30pm-5pm on Thursday, July 30.
