The Drinks Association is pleased to welcome Tara Hamilton, Supply Planning Manager APAC, Campari, as the new Chair of the Supply Chain & Logistics Forum.
Tara brings a wealth of cross-industry experience to the role, having built a diverse career spanning telecommunications, medical devices, biopharmaceuticals and FMCG. At each stage of her career, Tara has looked for opportunities for challenge and change, moving across industries and functions to ultimately find her passion in supply chain.
This foray into the supply chain function happened as the result of a corporate divesture, followed a few years later by a redundancy only weeks before the onset of the pandemic. This career reset saw her take up the opportunity to move into the FMCG sector, and then into the liquor industry at Campari.
“The opportunity at Campari was too good to pass up,” she explains. “This was a chance to operate in a more focused role leading the Supply Planning team across ANZ and occasionally diversifying into wider supply chain projects. This role didn’t disappoint and recently a promotion into a Regional Role with Campari was the icing on the cake.”
Now, as Chair of the Drinks Association’s Supply Chain & Logistics Forum, Tara is excited to bring her unique perspective and continuous improvement mindset to the table.
“Being asked to step into the role was an exciting surprise. As a relative newbie in the beverage industry, I think I can bring a different perspective to the forum,” she says. “I’m keen to explore supply chain learnings from outside the beverage industry that we might benefit from – a chance to challenge the status quo.”
Tara has already found immense value in being part of the forum community, having attended events throughout 2024.
“They are an excellent way to network, share challenges within our industry on a local and global footing and to search for or share best practice,” she says. “There are external factors that impact us all, regardless of the company we work for. The forum is an excellent opportunity for us to come together, reflect and draw inspiration as a group.”
With a passion for collaboration and learning, Tara is ready to lead the forum into its next chapter – bringing fresh ideas, energy and a customer-centric approach to building stronger supply chains across the drinks industry. The next Supply Chain & Logistics Forum is in Sydney on 14th May. For more information, please contact Rachel Wormald, Drinks Association General Manager, on rachelw@drinks.asn.au.
