Sales Manager, Kylie Farquhar, was awarded the TWE Leads Award at the company’s
ANZ Commercial Conference late last month.
The award is testimony to Kylie’s exemplary leadership and the
significant and positive impact she has had on the company this past year.
“It was a very proud
moment for me. I truly believe I am the sum of my own team. I want to be their
leader, not their manager. I find them inspiring,” said Kylie of receiving the
award.
In presenting the award , Michael Jackson, General Manager Sales and Strategy ANZ, said: “Kylie brings positivity, authenticity, inspiration and accountability to every aspect of her leadership. She leads by setting an excellent example, providing compassion and understanding during difficult times, and she drives forward by embracing change and ‘thinking outside the box'."
When Tim Ford assumed the position of CEO in July 2020, he outlined the TWE DNA: delivering together, being courageous and bringing our whole selves to work.
Penelope Heilbronn, Senior HR Manager ANZ said, “The DNA has brought to life what makes us unique as a business.” It’s also a call to action and for Kylie, it really aligned with what she and her team had been striving to achieve these past three years.
“We joke about being
‘#one dream one team’, but when COVID hit, it became more serious and
relevant,” she said.
Her team championed
the communications they already had in place, sharing them with interstate sales
teams, as well as actively staying connected and collaborating with the teams
as everyone came off the road.
“It’s a history
making time. These last six months at TWE, the amount of change and care that
has been shown…it has been an exciting thing to be a part of. It’s been very
special,” she said.
Usually the conference is a sales and marketing affair, but this year, 400 people dialled-in with other categories awarded for: Deliver Together (Ian Pearson, Director to Consumer Operations Manager), Being Courageous (Nat Rolfe, Commercial Finance Director ANZ), the Essence of TWE (Joshua Ferguson, Key Account Executive – On Premise, Brisbane) and MD’s Award (Kelly Hanifin, National Sales Operations Executive). The dress code was black tie and slippers with awards given for best dressed as well as the most memorable working from home moment.
Treasury Wine Estates also won the Supply Chain Management Award at the 2020 Australian Drinks Awards.
