Empower Hour

This year’s charity partner is the life changing Dress for Success which empowers women on their road to achieving economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Thanks to the generous contribution of our partners, guests to the International Women's Day lunch will be able to purchase raffle tickets and help change the lives of women in need, women who have been disproportionally affected by the fallout from the pandemic.

This International Women's Day, Dress for Success are asking Australians to pledge just one hour of their pay to directly help a woman on her path to employment and financial security, for herself and her family.

Dress for Success CEO, Ms Leisa Sadler says: “If everyone pledged one hour of pay to help a woman who is struggling to achieve employment and financial stability, we would see real change. That’s why we are asking Australians to see their hour as more than a gift — it’s an investment in the future because we know that when women work, families thrive, communities prosper, and the economy grows.”

Dress for Success’ Empower Hour is a high impact ‘pay it forward’ campaign, and simple for you to support whether you are attending the day or not. Individuals pledge an hour of their pay to help a woman overcome the distress of unemployment and financial difficulty, supporting her journey to economic independence for herself and her family.
