TWE’s commitment to inclusivity, equity & diversity firmly entrenched in its DNA

 

Treasury Wine Estates was awarded the Inclusive & Diverse Workplace Award by Mia Lloyd, Head of Trade at Coles Liquor, this year’s sponsor of the award.

TWE’s Sarah Parkes, Sales Director, Retail, was in Sydney and accepted the award on behalf of the business at the lunch. “I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than by proudly accepting the Drinks Association Award for the Most Inclusive and Diverse Workplace on behalf of TWE ANZ. This award is recognition of the commitment, leadership and tangible actions our ELT and broader team have delivered to accelerate and prioritise this agenda so we can continue to attract and retain the best talent.”

TWE says that: “World Class Talent is central to TWE achieving their strategic goals and Inclusion, Equity and Diversity is embedded within this as a key strategic imperative. It’s in our DNA to focus on behaviours which create inclusion and a sense of belonging for all”.

In its award submission, TWE outlined that it :

  • Ensures that employees in equivalent roles are remunerated equitably.
  • Broadening the eligibility for parental leave to cover all circumstances, including surrogacy and stillbirth
  • Provides equal access to primary carer’s leave for twelve weeks and six weeks paid secondary carer’s leave.
  • Provides access to ten days paid leave for team members experiencing family and domestic violence
  • Offers TWEforMEDays so employees can observe cultural or religious celebrations, part of its broad inclusion and diversity agenda

CEO Tim Ford is one of 100 CEOs across Australia who have signed the #IStandForRespect pledge against gendered harassment and violence and Chief People Officer, Katie Hodgson sits on the Australian Government’s panel on the gender pay gap.

Finally, there are numerous active programs at TWE to support working flexibility, which promote a psychology geared to embrace equity, inclusivity and diversity as well as professional development opportunities for people no matter their age, gender or heritage.
