GS1 & BevChain re-sign as Corporate Partners

The Drinks Association is proud to announce that GS1 and Bevchain have both re-signed on as Corporate Partners. The GS1 partnership will last for two years while Bevchain has signed on for three.

Bevchain President, Misha Shliapnikoff said, “As a business dedicated to beverage logistics, Bevchain see the partnership with the Drinks Association as a strategic avenue for insight and understanding of beverage customers and the beverage categories, while also having an opportunity to expand the understanding in the Drinks Association community of Bevchain’s capabilities across safety, service, value, technology and sustainability.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Linfox, Bevchain is the beverage logistics partner of choice, providing tailored warehousing and distribution services for Australia and New Zealand’s favourite drinks with a focus on safety, sustainability and efficiency. They provide warehousing and metropolitan delivery services for Carlton United Breweries, and have been for more than 50 years, and most recently signed as exclusive warehousing and distribution partners for Mighty Craft.

GS1 has just celebrated 50 years of digitalisation in commerce and its partnership with the the Drinks Association forms part of its strategic vision to drive industry standards' development and adoption, and to improve business and supply chain efficiency in the drinks industry. 

Maria Palazzolo, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of GS1 Australia said: “The partnership with Drinks Association is of strategic importance to GS1 Australia. Over 2,000 of our members identify as coming from the liquor sector. It is critical that we maintain solid contact and communications with this vital industry to ensure we understand their challenges and can provide them with the best technology, support and advice to keep their supply chains moving.
