Australian Drinks Awards announces virtual Supplier Awards ceremony for 5 August

With more than half of the Australian population in lockdown, the Drinks Association has made the difficult decision to shift the date of the 2021 Australian Drinks Awards (ADA). The Sydney event at the IVY Ballroom will now be held on Tuesday 23 November.

Georgia Lennon, CEO of the Drinks Association said, “We were so hopeful of gathering to make the announcement of all of the Australian Drinks Awards at the one time and in person. I know everyone is keen to come together and celebrate this great industry in which we are all so fortunate to work.”

“But Covid persists. So, we will now plan for that celebration in November and we look forward to seeing all our members at that time.”

That said, there are some awards that we will announce ahead of the date to coincide with the release of the Advantage Australia Engagement Program results. The ADA’s four Supplier awards will be presented via Zoom at 4.30pm on Thursday, 5 August.

Shelly Horton will again host the virtual presentation which is free and open to ALL in the drinks industry.
