A number of Drinks Association’s member and partner businesses have been recognised as exemplars of workplace culture. Campari was certified as a Great Place To Work in February and Treasury Wine Estates, Moët-Hennessy and, Corporate Partner GS1 all received Top 10 rankings in the AFR Boss Magazine’s Best Places to Work announced earlier this month.
Campari
Almost 150 employees, or Camparistas as they call themselves, completed the Great Place to Work survey in October last year. The overall participation score was 86%.
The Great Place to Work evaluates businesses according to five key pillars; pride, camaraderie, fairness, respect and credibility. Campari scored highest in the pillars of camaraderie and pride.
Human Resources Director ANZ, Nellie Tierney joined Campari on a year long contract covering parental leave in July last year. Since her commencement, Tierney has been impressed by the investment in people at Campari, “not just financially, but true consideration and air-time is given to our Camparistas”.
“In my 20+ year career, I’ve never been more encouraged by an organisation’s ability to walk the talk when it comes to culture, values and behaviours – it’s all lived and breathed at Campari, and lived and breathed exceedingly well,” she said.
Campari is dedicated, cohesive and passionate, and the culture of diversity and inclusion resonates right around the world. Tierney says, “There is genuine appreciation and recognition of the valuable contribution our Camparistas offer every day in every way.
“The most surprising, or perhaps pleasing, insight was that we surpassed the previous survey results during a global pandemic and achieved first-time certification. The care and wellbeing that was offered to our Camparista’s during 2020 was above and beyond and demonstrates the strength of our Camparistas coming together in the face of adversity.”

The program is built around a series of principles that put the consumer first, encourage innovation, agility and autonomy and nurture collaboration and inclusion among team members. Moët Hennessy balances the individual’s needs and development with a commitment to giving back to the community and the planet.
