2022 International Women's Day is all set to go

The Drinks Association’s International Women’s Day celebration is booked and ready to go. The bubbles are on ice and tickets have sold out to the event to be hosted at Doltone House in Elizabeth Street, Sydney on Tuesday, 8 March.

Catherine McGregor is the keynote speaker for the day and there is great anticipation from the Embrace Difference Council to hear what is sure to be a riveting, insightful and inspiring presentation with particular focus given to themes of weathering change, challenging bias and navigating conflict in the workplace.

The industry panel for this year includes Bryan Fry, Chairman and CEO at Pernod Ricard Winemakers, founder of Two Birds Brewing and the Pink Boots Society, Jayne Lewis and hotelier, Craig Laundy of the Laundy Hotel Group. Pernod Ricard’s Emma Baldwin will facilitate the industry discussion which is a highlight of the event each year.

Newly appointed Chair of the Embrace Difference Council, Sandra Gibbs will MC the day and winners of the 2021 Contribution to Industry Awards will finally be announced, including:

  • The Corporate Social Responsibility Award sponsored by Endeavour Drinks Group, presented by Chief Marketing Officer, Joanne Rose
  • The Inclusive & Diverse Workplace Award sponsored by Coles Liquor, presented by Mia Lloyd, Head of Trade, Coles Liquor
  • The Most Improved Gender Equity Award. Finalists for this award are Brown-Forman, Pernod Ricard and Australian Vintage Limited. The award will be presented by Australian Liquor Marketers General Manager, Strategy & Transformation, Rod Pritchard.

This year’s charity partner is the life changing Dress for Success which empowers women on their road to achieving economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

This International Women's Day, Dress for Success are asking Australians to pledge just one hour of their pay to directly help a woman on her path to employment and financial security, for herself and her family.
