The Australian Drinks Awards ceremony took place on Thursday, 10 August 2023. One of the industry’s favourite celebrations, this year’s awards was hosted at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.
Forty-eight awards were handed out across Brand, Supplier and Contribution to Industry categories.
In the Supplier category, Supplier of the Year, Most Improved Supplier, Category Management and Supply Chain Management Awards are determined by the results of the Advantage Engagement Program.
The winners of the four Supplier Awards in 2023 were:
Supplier of the Year: Joint Winners - Carlton & United Breweries and CUB Premium Beverages
Most Improved Supplier of the Year: Joint Winners - William Grant & Sons and Campari
Category Management Award: Carlton & United Breweries
Supply Chain Management: CUB Premium Beverages
Of the three Contribution to Industry awards, The Most Improved Gender Equity Award data is taken from the Embrace Difference Industry Scorecard to identify the top three member performers in the area of Gender Equity where those business provide a submission for inclusion. The finalists for this Award were, Australian Vintage Ltd, Moet Hennessy and Accolade Wines.
The Inclusive & Diverse Workplace Award and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award are decided by submission and the winners determined by a group of industry executives.
The winners of the three Contribution to Industry Awards in 2023 were:
• Corporate Social Responsibility Lion
• Most Improved Gender Equity Award Australian Vintage Ltd
• Inclusive and Diverse Workplace Pernod-Ricard Winemakers
For the Brand Awards, the top 200 drink brands in the country are automatically entered into the category of either Fan Favourite or Gaining in Popularity. Thrive Research is then enlisted to conduct the research with 4,000 consumers to determine the winners. They are:
